z
When the machine is off-line.
If a computer instructs a print job while the machine is off-line, the machine will not
receive the data and a write error dialog will be displayed on the computer.
z
Deleting jobs.
For Windows NT 4.0, jobs can be deleted if Service Pack 4 or later is installed. A
write error will be displayed if the job is deleted while it is being received. In this case,
[Retry] displayed on the error dialog is of no use.
Environment for Printing through SMB
z
When using Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server
2003, if [Unicode Support] is enabled, no printing is available on the SMB
environment.
z
When printing through the SMB port on Windows XP, the user name may not be
displayed correctly.

When an IP address or a host name is used to designate the authentication server for
SMB authentication, even if the domain name is not correct, if a correct user name and
passcode are entered, the authentication succeeds.
