NOTE
During installation, when setting up and taking
down as well as during operation of the PS-500, ensure
that the hydraulic lines Do not chafe. If necessary, provide
hydraulic lines with chafe guard.
Info
Bleeding
The hydraulic system in the PS-500 is bled at
the factory. Ensure that the rig's own supply
connections are bled before connecting the
PS-500.
Info
Pre-Adjustment
The hydraulic system of the PS-500 is adjusted at
the factory. The pressures can be converted into
electrical signals on site by the operator.
NOTE
The air in the hydraulic system of a new PS-500
is shop-purged. Be aware that the hydraulic connection
hoses (Slips up, Slips down and Feedback signal) should be
purged before connecting it to the PS-500.
NOTE
All hydraulic connections have a coupling
bushing and a plug coupling with quick connection
couplings,
3/8
“ and
1/4
“. The used coupling by
FORUM Handling Tools meet the ISO 16028 standard and
are ideal for interchangeability with other manufacturers.
4.1.3
Arrangement of Hydraulic
Lines/Connections
Ensure that the hydraulic connections are arranged so
that damages cannot be caused by external effects. The
following illustration shows the PS-500 between the Iron
Roughneck rails. Hydraulic hoses must therefore not be laid
over rails.
