Installation and Arrangement 
of additional Equipment

3.4.2.1 

Installation of the Top Wear Guide

Preparations/Requirements

•  The correct size Top Bowl has been chosen.
•  Guide Plates are retracted.
•  Insert Carriers have been removed.
•  The PS-500 is mounted to the Rotary Table or standing 

on a plane supporting surface.

•  PS-500 is equipped with a HCGS.
•  HCGS has been switched off.
•  Lifting Sling (Hook Up Kit - P/N 755661).

Installation Procedure

1.  Attach the Top Wear Guide to the Lifting Slings

Only use the attachment points shown in 3.3.6.

2.  Lift and position the Top Wear Guide coaxial to the 

PS-500 

w

.

3.  Slowly lower the Top Wear Guide.

4.  Guide the Top Wear Guide brackets into the HCGS 

holes 

e

.

5.  Secure the Top Wear Guide by turning the bracket 

handles 

r

.

6.  Remove the lifting eyes and the Lifting Slings.

Removal Procedure

1.  Perform removal procedure in reverse order.

 

CAUTION

 Always make sure all handles of the Top 

Wear Guide brackets point towards the center of the 
PS-500 to lock the Top Wear Guide to the HCGS.
