Commissioning and Operation
Ensure that the PS-500 is
commissioned only by personnel
trained for this work and familiar with
the risks involved in commissioning the
PS-500.
Read these instructions carefully before
setting up the PS-500 and putting it
into service.

having the PS-500 put into service by
FORUM Handling Tools.

Commissioning
WARNING
Danger of pinching/crushing feet!
Transporting and setting down heavy
components.
» Never step below moving
Equipment parts.
WARNING
Separated hydraulic lines pose an
injury hazard!
» Do not fix any disconnected
hydraulic lines without
depressurizing the complete
hydraulic system and all hydraulic
lines and couplings.
WARNING
Defective hydraulic lines pose an
injury hazard!
» Protect yourself from leaks.
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid can pose a health
hazard!
Hydraulic fluids can lead to skin and
eye injury and poisoning symptoms
upon contact.
» Avoid direct contact with hydraulic
fluids.
DANGER
Suspended load!
The falling load can cause severe, even
lethal injuries.
» Never stand under suspended
loads and in the swing area of
suspended loads.
WARNING
Danger of pinching/crushing body!
» Do not step between the body and
the door.
» Do not stand within the opening
range of the door while it is being
opened or closed!
WEAR EYE PROTECTION!
WEAR PROTECTIVE HELMET!
WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!
WEAR SAFETY SHOES!

Safety Considerations
Safety considerations and checks
before initial operation
1. PS-500 and additional equipment have been
installed following the instructions in Chapter 3 -
Installation Checklist has been completed.
2. All covers attached and completely screwed down.
3. All screw connections tightened properly.
4. All screw retainers present.
5. Insert Carriers and Guide Plates correspond to type/
size of pipe used.
6. All hydraulic connections are connected correctly
and laid securely.
7. No hydraulic line is damaged.
8. All lubrication points are lubricated properly
