ALPHA Key
The

key controls access to the numeric (default level 1) and alpha (level 2)
characters. The key operates in a toggle mode. When the light is off, the numeric
characters are accessible. Pressing

to light the key enables access to the alpha
characters.

NEXT CHAR Key
The

key is functional when the light on the

key is lit. After pressing an alpha
character key, use

to select the desired letter from the alpha grouping shown on that
key. When the desired character appears in the selected field, stop pressing

. Instead,
press the alpha key containing the next character to be added to the field, or, if the field
data is complete, press the
ENTER
key.

Next Character Key
BKSP Key (Backspace)
The

key permits editing of characters during a keypad data-entry session. After
entering the first character in a field, pressing

deletes the last available character
and allows another character to be entered in its place. This backspace action is available
as long as characters are present in the field.

SPACE Key
The

key functions exactly like the space key on a PC keyboard. Pressing

inserts a space character to separate any combination of alphanumeric characters.
