Commissioning procedure
CAUTION
To avoid damage caused by uncushioned movement
into the end positions, during
- the first commissioning
- after adjusting the fixed stops
- after adjusting the DIL switches
- or after replacing components and/or tubing
proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that:
•
the compressed air and power supply to the
SPC-10 are switched off
•
the DIL switches are set correctly
•
there is an 0-signal at inputs A and B
•
the maximum mass load is placed on the slide
•
the fixed stops are fitted correctly.
2. Switch on the power supply to the SPC-10.
The SPC-10 will then be initialized (duration approx.
3 seconds). Any modified DIL switch settings will
become effective. In this case the ERROR LED will
flash (out for long period).
3. Then switch on the compressed air supply (5 to 7
bar). As the valve slide assumes the electrical mid-
position, the slide can move slowly into one of the
end positions due to the asymmetrical voltage-press-
ure curve of the proportional directional control
valve.
