4.2 Carrying out commissioning
WARNING
Faults in the system structure and incorrect DIL
switch settings can cause the slide to move to an
end position uncushioned. The fixed stop or the
cylinder may then be damaged. You must observe
the following instructions in order to prevent such
collisions.
– The SPC-10 "teaches" the position of the fixed stops
by means of the Teach process. The Teach process
must be carried out during the first commissioning
and always when the fixed stops have been read-
justed or when components and tubing are replaced.
– The SPC-10 can only recognize faulty cylinder tubing
or an incorrect DIL switch setting during the Teach
process.
The Teach process must therefore be carried out
again if the tubing is disconnected and then recon-
nected, or if the DIL switch setting is modified.
– Make sure that the permitted mass load is observed
during operation.
Recommendation: Place appropriate warning signs on
your system.
