WARNING
During commissioning and during operation the slide
is moved at the highest possible acceleration and
speed. Make sure that:
- it is not possible to place one’s hand in the path of
the moving mass until the compressed air supply is
switched off;
- the complete positioning range of the axis is not
obstructed.
4.1 Preparing for commissioning
Before commissioning can be undertaken, the pneu-
matic drive must be ready for operation. In order to pre-
pare for commissioning, proceed as follows:
1. Check the complete system structure, especially the
cylinder tubing (see chapter 3).
2. Check the electrical circuitry.
3. Set the fixed stops exactly in the desired end posi-
tions, but always outside the path (PPV) of the end
position cushioning built in the cylinder (see chapter
3).
4. Then set the DIL switches according to the compo-
nents used and to the mass load to be moved.
