3.7.5 Connection with other Sub−D plugs (IP20)
If you are using the Festo plug type FBS−SUB−9−WS−CO−K or
Sub−D plugs from other manufacturers, you must replace the
two flat screws by which the field bus plug is fitted in the
SFC−LAC by bolts of type UNC 4−40/M3x5 (supplied).
Note
Please note that if Sub−D plugs of other manufacturers are
used, only protection class IP20 will be fulfilled.
Note
If both screws or bolts are dismantled simultaneously,
there is a danger that the plug with the internal printed
circuit board will be pressed into the housing of the
SFC−LAC.

During conversion always leave one of the screws or
bolts in position.
1. First loosen one of the fastening screws and remove it.
2. Screw one of the fastening bolts into the empty hole and
tighten it. Maximum tightening torque: 0.48 Nm
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other screw.
