6 Work and safety instructions
6.1 General remarks
WARNING
Heavy training device!
Frequent lifting and carrying may lead to spinal injuries.
Ask for help.
CAUTION
•
Trainees may only work with the Robotino
®
4.0 mobile robot system under the
supervision of a trainer.
•
Observe the specifications included in the technical data for the individual
components, and in particular all the safety instructions!
•
The Robotino
®
4.0 mobile robot system may only be packed after it has been
completely shut down.
•
Wear personal safety equipment (safety goggles, safety shoes) when working on
circuits.
6.2 Electrical system
WARNING
Disconnect from all sources of electrical power!
• Switch off the power supply before working on the circuit.
•
Please note that electrical energy may be stored in individual components. Further
information on this issue is available in the datasheets and operating instructions
included with the components.
Warning!
Capacitors inside the device may still be charged even after being disconnected from
all sources of voltage.
•
Disconnect the power supply after charging Robotino ® 4.0. If the charger is
disconnected from the mains but left connected to Robotino ® 4.0, it can
discharge/damage the batteries.
