Inspecting and setting
Edgebander
G 500
The counter pressure of the pistons ensures that contact is
maintainted between the button and the work piece. To
raise the counter pressure between the button and work
piece, increase the air pressure, to lower the counter
pressure, reduce it. The air pressure is set in the factory
to 1.6 bar.
Once the cut has been carried out, knife unit retreats and
waits for the drive from the micro contact.
When the work piece releases the micro contact, the

8.6.2 Copying pads adjustment
This setting is carried out in the factory during the
acceptance inspection for the knives supplied with the
machine and for a 0 degree trim. If the setting is lost or
different knives are installed, proceed as follows:
• Open the back door, whereby all electronic and
pneumatic functions are blocked, and for safety
reasons set the general switch to OFF and remove
the pressurised air hose.
Adjusting the buttons:
The button is tensioned with spring discs. If you turn the
2 screws deeper towards the copier iron, the edge is
separated more deeply (shorter). If this distance is enlar-
ged, the edge becomes shallower (longer).
The screws are coated and must not be tightened any
more!

Back button
trimming unit follows the work piece, leaning on the work
piece button and removes the edge to the bottom.
The the trimming unit moves upwards and is ready for
the following cycle. In order to reach the pneumatic
attachment, dismantle housing 12. The manometer
shows the pressure for the hub of the trimming unit. In the
factory it is set to 2.5 bar.
