8.6 End trimming unit

The end trim unit automatically trims front and rear
excess edge.
The trimming can be performed straight (0 degrees).
The unit consists of a HF motor and is equipped on both
ends with a double knife pair.

The motor is mounted on a stand and glides along
horizontal tracks. The movement of the stand and motor
is powered by pneumatic pistons.There are two buttons
on the stand. Button F for the front section, button G for
the back section.
Motor, stand and tracks are mounted on a sliding
carriage.This sliding carriage, mounted on two ball
screw jack guides can move vertically on the work piece,
thanks to the pneumatic pistons.
• The trimming mechanism is secured to the plate of
the machine housing.
• The ball handle delimits the horizontal hub of the unit
when performing a 0 degree cut.
8.6.1 Function
The end trim unit functions when the main switch is
positioned on ON, compressed air is activated and if the
selector switch is on ON. Start up HF motors.
As it passes through, the work piece engages the
trimming unit button, so that the knives protrude, trimming
the any excess at the front of the work piece.
