Setup and installation
7.2 Installation
Characteristics of the installation site:
•
The installation site must not be damp and must be
weather proof.
• Even, non-slip work surface.
• The installation site must be closed off or under sur-
veillance, so that children an unauthorised people
cannot gain access.
• The main switch with differential must be nearby.
• Operation/room temperature: +10° to +40° C.
• Ensure that the work surface is sufficiently stable and
has the proper load-bearing capacity (ca. 800 kg/m²).
• Provide sufficient light at the workstation.
• Ensure there is sufficient clearance for or from neigh-
bouring workstations.
7.2.1 Location of machine
7.2.2 First cleaning of the machine
Before the machine is used., any remants of protective
oil must be removed from the unvarnished surfaces, using
a cleaning product such as an alkaloid (Turpentine or
Naptha).
These cleaning products may not be sprayed, but
should be applied using a rag which is then disposed
off according to applicable environmental protection
regulations.
According to the form of transportation used, the
machine will be in cardboard or nylon packaging,
wooden mesh or a wooden crate.
During transportation some parts are dismantled to avoid
the possibility of damage during transportation.
When installing the machine, ensure that there is
sufficient space for the machine operator, including
the necessary space for moving work pieces (loading,
processing, destacking) (see diagram 7).
The machine stands must be on a smooth and even
surface. Use a spirit level to ensure that the work table is
level. Tolerance across the /- 0.25 mm.
It is advisable to secure the machine to the floor using
the four holes which are already drilled in the machine
stand.
