Selecting an Audio File
Selecting an audio file for playback in a preset is usually the first thing we think of within a preset. While in most cases
an audio file will be played back, there are many instances when audio files will not be included in a preset. In those
cases, scrolling to the beginning will display <NO AUDIO FILE>. This will disable audio file playback for this preset. One
example of not using an audio file in a preset is when you plan to simply send a MIDI file upon preset start.
To select an Audio file, use the rotary dial to select the audio track contained in the bank. Once you find the file you wish
to playback, press
[SELECT]
to save it. Pressing
[UP]
or
[DOWN]
will move to another parameter. If you have not saved
your selection, it will remain unchanged. To sample the currently selected file, press
[HOLD SELECT]
and the track will
automatically start. Press again to stop. Press [
HOLD RIGHT
] to force the preset name to match the name of the Audio
Track Title.
If not files are found in the selected bank, then “No Files Availab” will display. Press [
SELECT
] to exit this warning.
