Operating Guidelines
Powering ON and OFF the unit
The Liquid Tracks device will “remember” the last state of the unit. If the unit was in standby mode when the power
was removed from the unit, then it will remain in standby mode when power is restored. Likewise, if the power was on
prior to removal of power, then it will turn itself back on upon power being supplied.
To
TURN THE POWER ON
from standby, press and hold the SELECT button for approximately ½ second.
To
TURN THE POWER OFF
, press and hold the SELECT button from approximately 2 seconds.
Never power down or unplug your unit while a file save, rescan or other disk related activity is in progress. There is a
chance you could damage the open file and render it unusable. If this should occur, you will need to recreate the file
with a follow-‐up ReScan procedure found in the Bank menu.
Memory Card(s)
Only one memory card can be inserted into the front memory card slot(s) at a time. Make sure you always have the
device turned off when inserted, removing or changing cards in these slots. Liquid Tracks does not formally support
hot-‐swapping cards. USB memory drives of compatible SD cards are recommended over all other media cards. NOT ALL
MEMORY cards are compatible with Liquid-‐Tracks. Please see notes on the media card specifications throughout this
user guide.
Make sure that only
one
USB device is connected at a time. DO NOT connect a USB device to the back and front USB
connector at the same time. This configuration is not supported. USB devices can be hot-‐swapped without cycling the
power, but it is not recommended.
The main partition of any Media and USB devices plugged in will be recognized. If additional partitions are defined, they
will be ignored. Please refer to the Media format section to determine which formats are supported by Liquid Tracks. In
general, only FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 formatted media with 512 byte sectors are supported. This is not flexible and
problems or failure of the device to work correctly will occur if these guidelines are not followed.
SPECIAL NOTE: When using two or more Liquid Tracks units in Master/Slave or other synchronized mode, it is
recommended that each unit use the exact same brand/model of memory card. It is highly recommended that a
