Prepare Media Card for Use With Liquid Tracks
Prior to a media card being usable with Liquid Tracks, you must prepare the media card. This routine will check
the media for compatibility, create the necessary directories and initial scan and preset files. Once you prepare a
media card, you can then plug the card into your computer and start loading your data into the various
directories.
PREPARE MEDIA IS NOT A FORMAT ROUTINE. While Scan and Preset files will be erased and recreated, the
media itself is not formatted, reformatted or otherwise erased. It is not harmful to run a Prepare media routine
on an existing Media card. In fact, it will save you time as it will recreate all the scan files in all the directories
and resync the media card with the Presets contained within the Liquid Tracks itself. If you run a prepare media
on an existing media card, make sure to resave each of the banks in the Bank menu. The Preset files contained on
the media after a Prepare will no longer be valid-‐ they are reset to empty defaults.
Once you start a Prepare, you will see various update and ReScan status screens. DO NOT interrupt this process
if you can avoid it. Depending on how many files you have in your various directories, this process can take a few
seconds to many minutes long. A new media card will typically take less than 20 seconds.
Loading FIRMWARE
New Features, fixes and enhancements are added from time to time in the form of a downloadable file called a
firmware file. You can receive these updates by visiting our website (

) and looking for
updated firmware files. When you turn your Liquid Tracks on, it will tell you what firmware version you are
running. This User Guide was designed for firmware V1.00. If you see a firmware version that is greater then
your firmware version, it is an update which usually provides enhancements that make it worth the upgrade.
WARNING: DO NOT SHUT OFF THE POWER WHEN THE SYSTEM IS LOADING
FIRMWARE. WHILE PROTECTIONS ARE IN PLACE TO PROTECT THE SYSTEM, IF
THE POWER IS INTERRUPTED WHILE THE UNIT IS RE-‐PROGRAMMING YOUR
DEVICE, IT MAY NEED SERVICING TO RESTORE FUNCTION.
