Creating a Trigger Event Before the Start of a Preset
Presets can be started in one of four ways, (1) Immediate Start, (2) Wait for Key/MIDI, (3) MIDI transport command,
and (4) MTC/SMPTE time code entry. By default the “Immediate Start” option is selected.
Immediate Start will begin the playback of the preset as soon as it is selected. A user can select the preset by pressing
the
[SELECT]
button once picking the preset to trigger. A preset will also start as soon as a Program Change command
is received via MIDI.
If you would like a preset to ARM, but not start until either a button is pressed, or a specific CC message is received from
MIDI, then select Key/CC#46. As the description says, if you send a MIDI CC#46 with a value of 127, then the preset
will trigger and begin to play.
If you desire is to have your Liquid Tracks rig follow a global MIDI controller / sequencer, or any other device issuing
MMC instructions (STOP, START, CONTINUE), then select “MIDI MMC CMD”. Liquid Tracks will only process the START
command and will immediately begin playback upon receipt of the proper sysex message.
If your Liquid Tracks is connecting to a master clock, MTC clock or other compatible system, and you wish for a preset
to be triggered by a specific moment in time, then you can select “MTC / SMPTE” as your trigger type. If this trigger type
is chosen, then it is mandatory that you define an MTC/SMPTE time in the parameter below it.
