Sending Sysex Files / Dumps
You can store any number of SYSEX (.SYX) files that contain any midi or sysex data you so desire. The Liquid Tracks
doesn’t care about the data so long as its valid MIDI data. Once you select a file and press
[SELECT]
to send it, it will
begin to transmit the MIDI data onto the MIDI out connector. You can store firmware, patch or preset files, or any other
type of midi file or dump and then transmit it at anytime.
While the obvious use would be to bring backups of your other equipment’s preset files on the road just in case, there
are also specific performance benefits. You could have premade a set of MIDI/SYSEX file dumps based on a set-‐list, a
performance, etc… With one file send, you could reconfigure all of your other equipment to be in sync. Changing the
presets in an FX machine while reprogramming a foot controller to match the current set-‐list, configuration, etc… The
uses are limitless with some imagination. The flexibility is enormous. Fluid controls for music at its finest!
