Replacing the BlackDiamond 6800 Series Switch Fan Tray
To remove a fan tray from the BlackDiamond 6800 series switch:

Attach the ESD strap to your wrist and connect the metal end to the ground receptacle on the top
left corner of the switch front panel.

Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws that secure the fan tray to the chassis.
Put the screws from the BlackDiamond 6808 fan tray aside in a safe place.

Using the handles on the front of the fan tray, pull it straight out of the chassis approximately ½ inch
(12.7 mm), as shown in Figure 171 and Figure 172. This action disconnects the power to the fan tray.
