While holding the tabs of the media edge plates
on both sides, move the plates to the top edge
of the media.
Adjust so that the edges of the media are
aligned with the center of the holes in the
media edge plates.

Important:

Do not use the media edge plates with
media that is 0.5 mm (0.02 inches) or
more thick. The media edge plates could
touch and damage the print head. If you
are not using the media edge plates, do
not use the thermal sheet either.

Always position the media edge plates so
that the edges of the media are at the
centers of the holes. Incorrect positioning
causes banding (horizontal banding, tint
unevenness, or stripes) during printing.

Move the media edge plates to the left
and right edges of the platen when they
are not in use.
❏
Do not use the media edge plates if the
sides of the printed media are smudged.

When loading media with a width of 54 inches
or less, place the thermal sheet supplied on the
left-hand side of the left media edge plate.
Place it so that the R side of the thermal sheet is
on the right.

Settings for Loaded Media
When you have finished loading the media, follow the
instructions on the control panel to make settings for
the loaded media.
1. Select the registered media number
Select the registered media number that contains the
media settings corresponding to the loaded media.
