Drying Action
Auto
When this is set to
Auto
, printing is performed up to the width of the
loaded media without drying between passes. The print head moves up
to 54 inches even when the media width is less than 54 inches.
When you select
Follow Drying Time Setting
, the time set in
Drying
Time
is added to the manufacturer's drying time.
Follow Drying Time
Setting
Drying Time
0 to 1200 Secs.
Set this when you want to extend the movement time beyond the
manufacturer's curing heater movement time.
If it is difficult to cure the ink due to the ink density or media, adjust the
movement time by checking the print results and the condition of the
media.
Increasing the drying time increases the time needed to print. Also,
some media may be deformed by increasing the drying time.
Media Back Feed after
Curing
Half Way
Sets at which point in the curing operation to rewind the media to the
print start position for the next job. Set this according to the
characteristics of the media being used.
When this is set to
Off
, the end of the print is fed to the base of the
curing heater without rewinding, leaving a margin of approximately
670 mm to the leading edge of the next job. This setting is suitable
when using media that is affected by heat.
When
Half Way
is set, when the end of the print passes the center of
the curing heater, the media is rewound until the end of the print is
positioned on the platen. Approximately 150 mm of unprinted media is
heated in the curing heater, and the next job is printed on the heated
media. This setting is suitable when using media that is not easily
affected by heat.
When
Complete
is set, when the end of the print is fed to the base of
the curing heater, the media is rewound until the end of the print is
positioned on the platen. Approximately 410 mm of unprinted media is
heated in the curing heater, and the next job is printed on the heated
media. This setting is suitable when using media that is not easily
affected by heat.
