Explanation
Heater Warm Up Addi-
tional Time
0 to 10 minutes
Set a longer time if you are concerned that the scratch resistance of the
print start area is poor.
We recommend setting a longer time, especially if you are using thick
media.
Print Head Warm Up
On
Set this to
On
if the colors of the adjacent prints do not match when
using tiling, or if the colors do not match immediately after printing
starts when printing long jobs.
When you select
On
, the print head is warmed up before printing starts
to prevent color differences. As a result, it may take longer to start printing.
Off
Platen Gap
1.7
Set the Platen Gap (the distance between the print head and the media).
In most situations, use the values set for each media type as they are. If
the print results are scratched or smudged, they may be improved by
setting a larger value. However, choosing a larger gap than required
may result in ink stains inside the printer, reduced print quality, or
shorter product life.
2.0
2.5
Feeding Tension
Lv1 to Lv4
In most situations, use the values set for each Media Type as they are.
Increase tension if creases appear in the media during printing. The
higher the value, the greater the tension.
Paper Suction
Lv0 to Lv10
Set the strength of the suction by the platen on the media. The higher
the value, the greater the suction.
In most situations, use the values set for each Media Type as they are. If
the media is wavy on the platen, increase the set value.
If graininess or out-of-focus characteristics are detected in printing
results obtained using thin or soft media or if the media is not fed
normally, reduce the set value.
Media Feed Speed
Limitation
On
Normally, leave this
Off
.
Set this to
On
if media sticks, wrinkles, or tears easily when printing on
thin media.
When this is set to
On
, print speed slows down.
Off
Pressure Roller Load
Weak
In most situations, use the values set for each Media Type as they are. If
the following occurs when printing, you may be able to avoid it by
reducing the Pressure Roller Load (for example:
Medium
Weak
)
❏
Wrinkling around the pressure rollers.
❏
Staining due to the media striking the print head.
❏
Pressure rollers leaving marks on the media.
