Postcards
You can print on a variety of postcards by loading them the
same way you load single sheets—from a rear paper guide or
with the optional cut-sheet feeder. Follow the procedure below.

Caution:
Use postcards only under normal operating conditions.
Loading postcards
1. Make sure that your software settings keep the printing entirely
within the printable area. For information about the printable
area, see the paper specifications on page A-10.

Caution:
Printing on the edge of a postcard can damage the print
head.
2. Select
Cards
mode using SelecType 2.
3. Follow the instructions in “Loading single sheets from the
front” on page 3-7, “Loading single sheets from the rear” or
“Loading paper from the cut-sheet feeder” on page 6-5.
4. Make sure that the right edge guide is aligned with the arrow
on the paper guide, and position the left edge guide to
match the width of your postcard.
