8. Before printing, make sure the paper release lever is set to
the single-sheet position. Also set the paper thickness lever
to the appropriate position for the paper loaded in the
cut-sheet feeder, as described on page 3-6. In your printer
driver software, select your paper size from the Paper Size
list.
The cut-sheet feeder loads paper when you send data to the
printer. You can also load paper by pressing the
Load/Eject
button.
Note:
❑
If the platen turns without loading the paper, completely remove
the paper and then insert it all the way into the printer again.
❑
If you need to adjust the position of the paper after it is loaded,
see “Adjusting the printing position” on page 3-38. To move and
save the loading position of the paper, use the SelecType
“T-Margin CSF” setting. For more information on SelecType
settings, see page 4-8.
❑
When loading from the cut-sheet feeder in
Cards
and
Envelopes
modes, SelecType “T-Margin CSF” setting value
should be automatically set to 4.2 mm or more.
Loading paper manually from the front paper guide
The cut-sheet feeder’s single-sheet loading feature allows you
to switch to a different type or size of paper without replacing
the paper already in the cut-sheet feeder or removing the
feeder. Follow these steps:
1. Make sure that the paper release lever is in the single-sheet
position.
2. Push the front paper guide extension all the way in.
3. Slide the right edge guide until it is aligned with the guide
mark on the front paper guide.
