Shutting Down the Projector
When you’ve finished using the projector, follow these steps to shut it
down:
1. Turn off any equipment plugged into the projector.
2. To turn off the projector, press the red
P
Power
button on the
projector or remote control.
You see a confirmation message:
If you don’t want to turn it off, press any other button or just wait
a few seconds for the message to disappear.
3. Press the
P
Power
button again. The projector lamp is turned off
and the
Power
light turns orange as the projector cools down.
After the projector has cooled, the exhaust fan shuts off.
If you want to turn the projector on again, press the
P
Power
button.
4. If you extended the adjustable front foot, press the blue foot
release lever to retract it.
5. Replace the lens cap and unplug the power cord.
6. If you’re using a remote control, set its
ON/OFF
switch to
OFF
.

Turn the projector off when
you’re not using it.
Continuous 24-hour-a-day
use may reduce its overall
life.

The projector’s Direct Power
Off feature allows you to
turn it off from a remote
source, such as a wall switch.
This is convenient for
permanent installations. For
desktop or table-top use, you
can unplug the projector as
soon as you turn it off. (The
projector continues cooling
down even after it is
unplugged.) Then you can
pack up the projector and
go.
You can also turn the power
on to restart the projector
immediately after turning it
off.
