USING BOTH TEMPERATURE LIMIT SWITCH AND BACK STEP FUNCTION
If a temperature limit switch is being used, it can be connected to TS1-NW1 and GND. This
is the EXTERNAL NO WELD input. If the thermal switch is open, the control will be in a
NO WELD condition.
NOTE
:
The Back-Step switch replaces the TLS operation. Alternatively, the Temperature
Limit Switch should be connected in series with the Water Flow Switch (WFS) or
connect the temperature limit switch to the External No Weld input (NW1) while
using the back step option.
5.4.7 PROCESS OUTPUTS -
[
;!:!
]
The EN1000 and EN1001 provides an output that can be useful when the operator or the
system needs feedback from specific parts of the welding sequence, such as: Major or minor
error conditions to machine controls, shunt trips, or indicator lamps. Some process outputs
may result in changes of the control sequence, status, fault, or major or minor error
conditions. These changes are intentional with the objective of providing designers with
complete flexibility. See the data codes table below.
To use any PROCESS OUTPUT Modes:
1. Put the control in PROGRAM MODE.
2. Use SELECT to find [
01
].
3. Use the SCHEDULE push-buttons to find [
;!:!
].
4. Use the table below as a guide for the necessary process.
5. Press the ENTER push-button.
Valve three may be connected to the shunt trip of a circuit breaker. Under certain conditions
as listed below, when a shunt trip breaker is tripped, it is the same as removing power from
the control. Most breakers can be equipped with a 110 VAC input shunt trip device. Refer
to section 4.3 CUSTOMER TERMINAL STRIP DIAGRAMS AND CONNECTIONS, and
the Customer Wiring Diagram.
WARNING:
Installation of Jumper “JB” between TS3-1 and TS3-VL1 will allow programming of the
Valve 3 output per the table 5.4.7.
Exercise caution when programming, the result of its activation
could cause a personnel hazard.
The jumper between TS3-1 and TS3-VL1 is necessary to bypass the Valve Control Relay
normally incorporated in the standard operation of valve three.
In the Table 5.4.7 are summarized all Process Output Codes. After that follows detailed
description of each Process Output.
