6.4.3 Redundancy circuitry
If the units do not return to their initial status after a warm reboot (reset), use this procedure
to restart the units in order to reset the redundancy circuitry.
1. Turn off the Control Units by pressing the power bar switch or similar switch and wait
two seconds.
2. Turn both units back on simultaneously by pressing the power bar switch or similar
switch to ensure that both units are powered on at exactly the same time. If you cannot
ensure that the units are powered at the same time, then turn on only one unit and wait
until it has completely rebooted before turning on the other one. You will see the CU4>
prompt when the unit has finished booting up.
•
If the redundancy system is operating normally, the startup screen on each unit will
read:

←

←

Status.........MASTER
←
this unit is currently operating as master
Configuration..MASTER
←
this unit was set up as the master unit
Backup status..OK
←
the other unit (its backup) is working

3. If the problem persists, contact Electroline’s technical support department.
