Capturing Video Material

Moving the Position Bar

The video at the location of the position bar is displayed in the Preview Window.

You can move the position bar regardless of whether playback of material is in

progress or stopped. This is useful for operations such as indexing. You can move

the position bar by dragging the thick area at its top.

You can move the position bar by clicking this area of the waveform display, which

makes the position bar jump to where you clicked.

Clicking the position-bar time changes the view as shown in the figure. Specifying a

time here makes the position bar move to the location you specified.

A setting for a value larger than the length of the material cannot be made.

You can make a variety of settings by manipulating the position bar (

p. 58

to 59).
