Specify the capture mode.
Go to “Enlarge/Reduce Mode” and click the down-pointing triangle. A list of capture modes appears.
• With “Same Aspect Ratio — Crop to TV Size,” the size is cropped to fit on a
television screen, without changing the aspect ratio of the original image.
• With “Same Aspect Ratio — Show All,” the image is resized to fit on a television
screen, without changing the aspect ratio of the original image. If the aspect ratio of
the original image is different from television size, it is displayed in letterbox
format with blank margins (white or black bands).
• With “Fit to TV Size,” the size is expanded or reduced to fit in a television screen.
The aspect ratio is also changes to television size.
• With “Original Size,” the original image is captured unchanged. In the case of a
large-size image, only the center area is captured. In the case of a small-size image,
the image is displayed in letterbox format, with blank margins (white or black
bands) above and below or on the left and right.

Specify the letterbox color.
When you capture an image smaller than television size, you need to select either
white or black as the color for the letterbox margins. Click the round button next to
“White” or “Black.” A blue symbol appears next to your selection.

Specify rotation.
When a still picture taken by a digital still camera is in portrait orientation (that is,
taller than it is wide), you can rotate it 90 degrees when you capture it. You choose
to rotate it either clockwise or counterclockwise, according to the direction of
rotation with which the image was shot. Go to “Rotate” and click the down-pointing
triangle, then make your selection from the list that appears.
