Make.
Click the “Make” button. A window appears, showing the progress of conversion to
still video. When the window disappears, creation is complete. Click “Close” to
return to the previous editing screen.

Confirm the action.
The created video material is registered in the Material palette, in the location
following the selected video material. Double-click it to display the Detail View
window and then play it back to verify it.
How to Capture Multiple Still Pictures As a Group
In the previous section, “Creating Still Video from Material on a CD-ROM or Card
Reader,” in step 3 you clicked the file name of an image to select it, but this time we’ll
select a group of files and capture them all at once. While clicking the file name, hold
down the “Shift” key on the keyboard and click the file names of the other images
you want to capture. The area around the file names of the selected files turns gray.
To cancel a selection, click the file name a second time. The procedure for converting
the selected files to still video is the same as in step 4 and after. The selected images
all become still video.
When you’re capturing graphics and the like created on a computer, note the
following points.
* Importing from commercially available CD-ROMs recorded using multisession or mixed-
mode CD formats is not possible with the DV-7DL PRO.
File format
Only “JPEG,” “BMP,” and “TGA” data can be captured. For
alpha channel, only “TGA” is possible. Save “BMP” data as
uncompressed files.
Image size
An image size of 640 x 480 pixels is recommended.
Saving on CD-R
When writing, use the “Joliet mode 1” format upwardly
compatible with ISO 9660 for both Windows and Macin-
tosh, and write in the “Disk at Once” mode. Multisession
CD-R media written using packet-writing software cannot
be used.
File and folder names
For file names and folder names, use only single-byte alpha-
numeric characters (letters and numbers). The maximum
number of characters is limited to eight.
Writing with a Macintosh
If you’re using a Macintosh, save with Macintosh exten-
sions to ISO 9660 disabled.
