Performing Detailed Editing on the Timeline Palette

 

Using the “Jump to Previous Cut Point” and “Jump to Next 

 

Cut Point” Buttons

 

These buttons jump to the seam (cut point) between two pieces of material with a 

 

single click.

 

Using 

 

Markers

 

If you place markers at locations you want to remember, you can make the position 

 

bar jump to a marker location with a single click by using the “Jump to Previous 

 

Marker” and “Jump to Next Marker” buttons.

Using the scrub feature lets you hear the audio even when you move the position bar 

 

only slightly, making it simple to find the exact point where the audio changes. This 

 

is useful when you're editing based on dialog or other audio. Go to the bottom left 

 

of the editing screen and click the "Output Audio During Seek" button to make the 

 

window shown below appear and enable use of the scrub feature.
