Capturing Video Material
You can create video material by using a camera to record video one frame at a time.
This makes it easy for you to create an animation by clicking the button as you move
the subject a little at a time.
1
Connect the video camera to the DV-7DL PRO.
Connect your camera to the DV-7DL PRO. You can make the connection either to a
DV jack or an analog jack.
*
For information on how make the connections, refer to
Connecting the Video
Equipment
(p. 26)
.
*
When you do this, reduce the audio input level on the video camera to zero, or minimize the
volume of the speakers connected to the DV-7DL PRO. This prevents the audio signals from
looping and producing feedback whine.
*
It may be a good idea to mount the video camera on a tripod to keep it immobile.
2
Switch the operation of the video camera to camera mode.
Turn on the connected video camera and put it in camera mode (video-recording
mode).
For information on how to operate the video camera, refer to the owner's manual for
the camera.
3
Click "Input Select" and choose the input jack.
A list of input jacks appears. Click to choose the jack you used to make the
connection in step 1.
4
Give the material a name to be used after capturing.
Before you perform capture, assign a name to the material you are about to capture.
Click the area shown in the figure, then use the keyboard to type in the name.
*
You can change the name of material even after capture. For more information, refer to
