Do not use machine travel or swing when the bucket is
in the ground to provide additional breakout force. See
Figure 54.

Do not use machine weight to provide additional breakout
force. See Figure 55.

When working on soft or muddy ground, make sure that
the machine is not sinking.

When working close to the excavated edge, make sure that
the ground the machine is sitting on is solid. Keep the
travel motors (1, Figure 56) to the rear. See Figure 56.
