1.
Make sure that the trailer is parked on firm, level
ground. See Figure 1.
2.
Make sure that the ramps that are being used are
designed to handle the weight of the excavator. If
required, add blocking under the ramp to provide
additional support.
3.
The ramp angle should be less than or not exceeding
a 15° angle. Ramps steeper than this may cause a
problem when loading or unloading.
4.
Set the travel speed selector switch to "O" (OFF)
position. See Figure 2.
5.
Set engine speed to "LOW IDLE."
6.
If the machine is equipped with work equipment, set
the work equipment at the front, and travel forward to
load it.
7.
Extend bucket and arm cylinders to maximum length
and then lower the boom slowly.
