Selecting a Channel
You can use either the front panel or remote control unit to select another
channel.
Front Panel Channel Selection
Use the following keys to select a channel from the DR500 front panel:

? button to move up to the next authorized channel

? button to move back to the preceding authorized channel
Remote Control Channel Selection
The remote control unit provides two ways of tuning to a desired channel:
• Select one channel at a time by using the:

? key to move up to the next authorized channel

? key to move back to the preceding authorized channel
• Select specific channels (1 to 120) using the
NUMERIC
keys (0
through 9) on the keypad. To do this, enter the channel, with or
without leading zeros. For example, to tune to channel 99, enter
either:

When you enter a channel, leading zeros are displayed. However,
once the channel is tuned, the leading zeros are eliminated.
If you enter a three-digit number, the DR500 tunes to that channel
immediately. If you enter a one- or two-digit number, the DR500
waits for approximately three seconds, verifying there is no other
input, and then tunes to that channel.
If you enter a channel that does not exist, for example channel 888, the
DR500 remains on the current channel. If you enter an unauthorized
