A-2 — Orbitor 3000 Reference Manual

Connection attempt to X

Generated when the bridge/router attempts a Telnet connection.  The IP address of the target
bridge/router is specified.

Disabling link X

Generated after detection of two “multipoint” links connected to the same partner bridge/router.  The
bridge/router with the lower MAC address prints this event.  “X” identifies the disabled link.

Disconnect from X (no answer)

Generated when a Telnet connection is not established because of lack of response from the target
bridge/router.  The connecting bridge/router’s IP address is specified.

Disconnect from X (path lost)

Generated when a Telnet connection is disconnected because of lack of response from the target
bridge/router.  The connecting bridge/router’s IP address is specified.

Disconnect from X (routing change)

Generated when a Telnet connection is disconnected because of network re-routing.  The connecting
bridge/router’s IP address is specified.

Error executing: XXXXXX

Generated when an error is detected loading back a configuration.  The invalid command is specified.

Incorrect password from X

Generated when an incorrect password is given for a Telnet connection.  The connecting bridge/router’s
name or IP address is specified.

IPCP must be enabled on remote site <remote site id>

Generated when the Internet Protocol Control Protocol negotiations failed due to the remote site device
having the IPCP function disabled.

IPX: Demand RIP failed on link X

Generated when this device reaches the end of the attempts to negotiate demand RIP for the IPXCP
connection.  After demand RIP has failed, the normal RIP and SAP updates will occur.

IPX: Network configuration error from <Mac address>, network <number>.

Generated when an IPX network number is received from the specified device that is different than the
configured or learned network number.

Link X authenticating peer with PAP

Generated when this device is using PAP to authenticate the peer (remote) device.
