AUTO-MANUAL STATIONS [AM 1] [AM 2] and [AM 3]
Allow to see (AUTO) or manipulat (MANUAL) the Control Output of each Loop.
This function allows the instrumentist the generation of a stable control output, to realize any
further operation in the Control Loop (manual modification, sensor changes, etc.) which might
cause unstability of the process.
The mnemonic AM could be visible, modifiable or hidden in the menu (by programming)
depending on number of active loops and the function assigned to each one of them.
AUTO-MANU FUNCTION
Allows to shift the control output of each loop from Automatic to Manual and viceversa.
- In Automatic, the PID control loop is closed. It is the normal operation mode.
- In Manual, the control loop is open allowing to modify the Control Output manually.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Every Control Loop has its own Auto-Manu station [AM 1] in L1 , [AM 2]
in L2 and [AM 3] in L3 . Can be used only in its corresponding loop.
TO SHIFT FROM AUTO TO MANUAL
Select using key one of the loops L1 , L2 or L3 which is required to shift to Manual , indicated
by the corresponding LED.
- Press key until the middle display of the HS-7300 (or the lower of the HS-7200 ) displays:
[AM 1], [AM 2] or [AM 3] (despending on the loop selected) and in the upper display the
value of the Control Output of this loop is displayed.
If LED F1 is OFF, the Control Loop is in Automatic Mode
If LED F1 is ON, the Control Loop is in Manual Mode .
If LED F1 is flickering it means that the Control Output is in Hold mode indicating a failure
situation.
- To shift to Manual press key * , the LED F1 will lit indicating that the Control Loop is in Manual
mode.
MODIFY THE VALUE OF THE CONTROL OUTPUT IN MANUAL
When LED F1 is lit indicates the control loop is in Manual mode.
- Press , the actual output value flickers indicating the Control outputcan be modified
manually.
- Press keys or to increase or decrease the value of the Control Output.
- Press or keys to fix the new value of the Control Output.
TO SHIFT FROM MANUAL TO AUTO
- Press key until the middle display of the HS-7300 (or the lower of the HS-7200 ) displays:
[AM 1], [AM 2] or [AM 3] , and in the upper display the value of the Control Output.
- To shift from Manual to Automatic press key *
LED F1 will OFF indicating that the Control Loop has shift to Automatic .
The value of the Control Output will shift from the one in Manual to the Automatic one calculated
by the PID algorith in a progressive way, due to the Bumpless function provided in these devices.
ENABLING AND DISABLING OF THE AUTO-MANUAL STATIONS [AM 1...3]
Can be realized by LoopWin (refer to Advanced Programming).
