START BOOL
Clearance to start for the AST40
When the state of the start signal changes from "low" to
"high", the preselected screwdriving program is started
on the AST40 – controller The start signal must be
present until the screwdriver operation has ended.
RELOAD BOOL
Reload signal
ScrPRG_1 BOOL
Input 1 for the screwdriver program
This input can be sensed in the screwdriver program of
the AST40 – controller in order to stop or continue the
screwdriver operation program.
ScrPRG_2 BOOL
Input 2 for the screwdriver program
This input can be sensed in the screwdriver program of
the AST40 – controller in order to stop or continue the
screwdriver operation program.
ScrPRG_3 BOOL
Input 3 for the screwdriver program
This input can be sensed in the screwdriver program of
the AST40 – controller in order to stop or continue the
screwdriver operation program.
ScrPRG_4 BOOL
Input 4 for the screwdriver program
This input can be sensed in the screwdriver program of
the AST40 – controller in order to stop or continue the
screwdriver operation program.
PROG_NR INT

The user must enter the desired screwdriver program of
the AST40 controller here.
Possible input values: 1 – 120
uni_IO SINT
Input 5 -12 for the screwdriver program
These inputs can be sensed in the screwdriver program
of the AST40 – controller in order to stop or continue the
screwdriver operation program.
DATA_SAVED BOOL
Data saved
With the help of this signal it is indicated to the AST40 –
controller that the current screw data has been saved in
the PLC.
If this signal is set, the AST40 – controller cancels the
"Data available" signal.
HEARTBEAT BOOL
Existence signal of the AST40
This signal is toggled in the Add-On instruction and
should not be written to.
