Bluetooth

Device Address)
(BD_ADDR)
A 48-bit address to identify Bluetooth

devices.
The address is defined by the Bluetooth
®
SIG of each Bluetooth
®
device
PIN Code
Bluetooth
®
Passkey
A password (16 bytes max.) used to authenticate Bluetooth
®
devices.
The connecting Bluetooth
®
device is authenticated by entering the same PIN Code
as that device. Once the device is authenticated for the first time, there is no need
to enter the PIN Code again for subsequent connections.
Also called a Bluetooth
®
Passkey.
Local name (Bluetooth
®
Device
Name)
A user-friendly name the Bluetooth
®
device uses to identify itself.
Bluetooth
®
wireless
communication
The communication line which connects the master device and the slave device.
When Bluetooth

wireless communication is connected, data can be
communicated between the master device and the slave device.
Master device
The device which controls Bluetooth

wireless communication.
Slave device
The device for which Bluetooth

wireless communication is controlled by the
