Select 

Start computer with CD-ROM support

.

At the prompt, type 

UHFRYHU

 and press <Enter>.

The 

Recovery CD restores your hard-disk drive, which takes about ten minutes. 

After the restoration is complete, you are prompted to restart the computer.

7.

Remove the 

Recovery CD from the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and press 

<Enter> to restart your computer.

NOTE: The Recovery CD does not restore Microsoft Works Suite 2000. After restor-
ing your hard-disk drive, use the Microsoft Works Suite 2000 CD to reinstall the 
software. You can also reinstall Microsoft Works Suite 2000 without restoring the 
hard-disk drive.

To reinstall software not installed by Dell, you must have the software manufacturer’s 
CD(s). For more information, see the documentation that came with the software.
