The E-support tool provides integrated Dell Resolution Assistant diagnostics and 
Assisted Service to help you diagnose and resolve problems with your computer. If 
the Resolution Assistant diagnostics cannot find or resolve a problem on your com-
puter, you can use Assisted Service to contact a Dell support technician via the 
Internet, without having to make a telephone call. The support technician works with 
you to diagnose the problem and resolve it. Assisted Service also includes the online 
tutorials. 

To diagnose and resolve a problem using the Resolution Assistant diagnostics, per-
form the following steps:

1.

Press the E-support button on your computer.

2.

When your personalized E-support main screen appears, click the illustration of 
the component that you want to check. 

For example, if your printer is not working properly, click the printer (see 
Figure 2-9).

The Resolution Assistant diagnostics returns the test results. Depending on the 
results of the diagnosis, you are prompted to download necessary files, consult 
documentation on the issue, or contact a support technician.
