receipt bar-code customisation
This function can be used to select if a bar-code has to be outprinted at the end of a receipt and to
customise its composition both for EAN-8 and EAN-13 coding.

Use

> and then choose the type of bar-
code to be printed:

Two types of bar-code are available:
EAN-13
and
EAN-8
.
EAN-13
bar-code consists of 13 digits,
the first 7 programmable digits, a successive 5 digits sequence for price and one final control digit.
EAN-8
bar-code has a first 2 fixed digits (00) sequence, 5 digits for price and one final control
digit.
The DSP500 scale also allows to customise completely the composition of the bar-code, on digit-
by-digit basis (see below).
By pressing <ENTER> you can start typing in the first 7 digits of bar-code (fixed part of the bar-
code, same for all receipts). These figures shall normally be printed if
EAN-13
bar-code is selected,
otherwise they will have no effects, unless the bar-code is customised differently (see below).

Now select, by using the numeric keys, the fixed bar-code digits (7 digits max.).
