Printer Security Number
The printer can have a security key (number) which can lock and unlock the printer using
the LCD panel.
Set Up

Press the middle key for at least three seconds. When you release, “Set Sec-Key
OK?” is displayed.

Press the Return key.

Enter the security number:
— The number can be up to 8 digits.
— The first digit entered is the left-most digit.
— You can move to the right only.
— For best results record the number as you enter it.

Press the down-arrow to scroll to the value (0-9) for the left-most digit.

Press the right-arrow to enter the next digit (00). The previous digit is replaced
by a

symbol.

Continue steps a and b until you have entered the number you want.

Press the Return key. The display shows “Re-enter.”

Enter the number again, as in step 3.
IP Address
The printer does not have an default IPv6 IP address. If Adrs
Config is set to Auto and the printer is not connected to a
network, None is displayed.
Prefix Len
The default prefix length is 64.
Gateway
The printer does not have a default IPv6 Gateway. If Adrs
Config is set to Auto and the printer is not connected to a
network, None is displayed.
Session TimeOut
OFF or up to 60 minutes
Shows how many minutes the driver should wait without
using the printer to stop the network session between the PC
and printer.
MAC Address
The MAC Address is unique to each printer. The MAC
Address is displayed and cannot be changed.
IPSec Mode
ON
OFF
Displays whether Internet Protocol (IP) Security is On or Off.
After setting up security using a PC and USB connection, this
setting cannot be changed.
IPSec Type
not Setting
Preshard
Certificate
Displays the type of IP Security set using the Status Monitor.
•
Not Setting, no IP Security.
•
Preshard, using a preshared key for encryption.
•
Certificate, using a public key certificate for encryption.
