However, when calculating the number of pictures, you must take
into account that the recording rate per channel is dependent on
the number of cameras connected. In addition, it must also be
taken into account whether the cameras are operated synchronously
or asynchronously.
Calculating the picture count when recording is to be carried out
via motion detection is somewhat more difficult. As only one
recording is made in this case when a picture change is present,
you should make a rough estimate of the activities on-site before
making the setting. The following simple example deals with the
activity by day and night.
Example: While the activity by day is approx. 70 %, night activity
is only approx. 5 %. The day is set at 10 hours in the
example.
At four pictures per second, this means:
Day = 10 hours = 36 000 sec. 144 000 pictures
70 % = 100 800 pictures
Night = 14 hours = 50 400 sec. 201 600 pictures
5 % = 10 080 pictures
Thus the picture count on track 1 need only be set to
110 880 pictures.

Set the picture count somewhat higher than the
result of the calculations.

The following description, Characteristics of the
standard track, is only relevant if you set up se-
parate tracks for individual cameras and might
like to save an individual track.
The name standard track applies for the Indus-
trie system parameters. The function and
characteristics, however, are identical to the
holdup track (Bank system parameters) and gas
pump (Tank system parameters).
