Activation of existing network settings
When updating, existing settings for alarm hosts, Ethernet, ISDN
and PSTN remain intact. These settings must be "reactivated",
however. In this case, activation means that the configuration files
must be rewritten.
You can achieve this by deleting and reentering the last digit of an
existing IP address, for example, in the corresponding menu.

Then click OK.
You are asked whether you want to accept the change, even though
it is not actually a change. If you confirm this prompt with YES, the
relevant configuration file is rewritten and your previous setting is
active once again.
Timer for alarm host
In addition to general activation/deactivation (see „Status“), you
have the option to prevent the forwarding of messages by day and
hour.

First select the alarm host for which you would like to configure
the timer.

To set the timer, activate the
checkbox next to Timer
active.

Then click the activated Set-
tings... button.

The Ping timeout decides the maximum duration of an attempt to
send an alarm message to an alarm host. If this is not possible
within the specific period, the recording system will break off its
attempt to send the message. The duration of the Ping timeout is
set in seconds.
