DVD+R discs must be FINALIZED before being used in
a standard DVD player. Unlike DVD+RW discs, DVD+R
discs cannot be moved back and forth between the
recorder and standard players as recordings are made.
With DVD+R discs, you must finish all recordings first
and then finalize the disc before it will be usable on any
standard DVD player.
Once a DVD+R disc is finalized, no further recordings
can be made on the disc, and no edits can be
performed.

A prompt appears asking if you want to finalize the
disc. *Remember that you will not be able to make
any more recording to the disc after finalization.
Choose YES to finalize the disc. You can now play
this disc in standard DVD players.
Finalizing DVD+R Discs
Recordings on DVD+RW discs are playable on standard
DVD players as soon as they're made. However, you'll
need to use the MAKE COMPATIBLE option to create or
update the Main Title Menu on your recordings, and to
update any edits you've made to the disc such as when
you rename or delete a Title.
You can still make new recordings to a DVD+RW disc
after using Make Compatible. However, you'll need to
use the Make Compatible function again to update the
Menu on the disc to include the new recordings.
