13.7 Specify Lustre User Authentication

Prerequisites

IMPORTANT: Stop Lustre on the ClusterStor L300 and L300N system before configuring Lustre users.

About this task

This optional procedure specifies the settings necessary to authenticate Lustre users on CSM, which opens when
the process is complete.

Procedure

1. Prior to configuring any nodes, stop Lustre:

[MGMT0]$ 

cscli unmount -f file_system_name

2. In the Lustre Users screen, select the Configure tab to select the desired Lustre user authentication method.

3. Select Lustre Users under Storage on the left side of the screen.

4. Select the desired Lustre User Authentication method in the Choose Directory Services Integration for

system_name

 filesystem section.

Lustre user authentication can be specified in four ways:

Active Directory (AD)

●

LDAP

●

NIS

●

Local
