Pull on the twine running outside of the conduit to pull the fiber jumper through the conduit until the jumper
connector is at the exit end of the conduit.
c.
At the exit end of the conduit, pull the jumper connector through the conduit fitting by hand.
d.
To feed additional fiber jumpers through the conduit, repeat steps 6a–6c, with a second person holding the
jumper(s) that has already been pulled through in place from the opposite side of the conduit.
Connect the fiber jumper to the SC adapter plate as follows:
a.
At the SC adapter plate, locate the OLT-side fiber (red SC connector).
b.
Route the fiber jumper from the conduit through the SC adapter plate mounting fixture in the bulkhead frame.
c.
Connect the fiber jumper to the corresponding SC connector on rear of the adapter plate.
Connect the fiber jumpers to the OLT equipment as follows:
a.
Route the other end of the fiber jumper from the conduit to the service unit.
b.
Connect the fiber jumper to one of the GPON ports.
c.
Neatly dress any slack fiber within the comb duct above the shelf on the front rack.
d.
Repeat steps 7a–7c for each fiber jumper.
Note:
Do not reinstall the SC adapter plate in the bulkhead mounting fixture until after connecting PON splitter fibers to the
OSP distribution.
