3.5 Types of operators authorised to operate or work on the unit
Hereunder is a list of the types of operators that are authorised to utilise the unit for production purposes or
to work on it for maintenance purposes.
3.5.1 Operators/Users
Tasks:
– starting up the unit;
–loading and unloading the product;
– overseeing the unit’s operations and the product processing activities.
– stopping the unit;
– performing normal day-to-day maintenance (please see the “MAINTENANCE” section).
3.5.2 Scheduled Maintenance Technicians
The operator/user is responsible for performing normal day-to-day maintenance on the unit. In order to
view the specific maintenance tasks assigned, kindly see the “MAINTENANCE” section.
Tasks:
–
resetting the unit following a stoppage due to a fault or an emergency;
–
checking to ensure that the unit itself is functioning properly and the processing is proceeding as it
should;
–
performing normal operator tasks.
–
performing the normal cleaning tasks described in the “MAINTENANCE” section.
3.5.3 Extraordinary Maintenance Technicians
These are qualified and specialised technicians (normally employed either by the Manufacturer or by
authorised Service Centres) who have been trained and authorised to carry out any extraordinary
maintenance tasks and other more complex operations.
The tasks assigned to these extraordinary maintenance technicians are described in the “MAINTENANCE”
section.
