The PLANT SAFETY MANAGER must:
–
check to ensure that the applicable individuals’ knowledge is actually sufficiently to enable them to
properly read and fully understand the content of this Operation and Maintenance Manual.
–
provide adequate practical training and confirm, inter alia by means of testing, that the designated
operator is indeed able to operate the unit in a proper and safe manner, both under normal operating
conditions and in the event of an emergency.
Duty as regards the storage of the Operation and Maintenance Manual
THE PURCHASER IS DUTY BOUND TO STORE THIS MANUAL AND ALL THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION IN AN
EASILY ACCESSIBLE LOCATION, PREFERABLY IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE UNIT ITSELF AND IN A PLACE
THAT IS KNOWN TO ALL AUTHORISED USERS (OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE STAFF).
THE MANUAL IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE UNIT FOR SAFETY PURPOSES AND MUST THEREFORE BE STORED IN
ITS ENTIRETY (ALL OF ITS PARTS).
